Kava dryer machine
Kava drying tips:
Using a heat pump dryer to dry kava is a highly efficient method for preserving its active ingredients (kavalactones). The low temperature, dehumidification, and air circulation characteristics of a heat pump dryer are ideal for heat-sensitive herbs.
Proper setup is crucial for preserving kava's potency and quality. Below are detailed setup guidelines and operating steps:
Core Principle: Low Temperature and Slow Drying
The active ingredients in kava are susceptible to degradation and volatilization at high temperatures. Therefore, high temperatures should be avoided. This is where heat pump dryers offer advantages; they typically operate at low temperatures of 40-65°C.
Parameter setting:
In the first section, set H-Dry mode, 50 degree for 1 hour, and in the second section, set HDry+ Mois mode, 55 degree for 9 hours.
Drying at 50-55 degree, for 10 hours, the Kava can maintain good activity while completing drying.
